The Kupo 546M Junior Boom Stand is an incredibly versatile support. It can be converted from a standard light stand to a junior boom arm by simply pulling the centre column out of the stand. Next, use the pivoting collar to position the arm.
It is constructed from chrome plated steel and features square-end legs. The boom arm can support 66lbs (29.9kg) at its minimum extension of 5ft (1.5m). At its maximum extension of 9ft (2.68m), it supports 17.6lbs (8kg).
Perfect for a medium sized light fixture with a soft box or umbrella attached. The solid aluminum casting knob paired with a stainless bolt ensures reliable and long-lasting operation.
The die-cast riser features a stainless-steel heli coil insert. This provides a durable threaded hole. The upper spider casting includes a hanger for convenient storage on the rack. It also features an earring device for a wind-bracing kit.
The junior boom stand is also equipped with one leveling leg for balancing loads on uneven terrain. This makes it just as at home in the field as it is in the studio.
Note: Ensure that the boom arm is aligned with one of the stand legs. Also, attach the counterweight to maintain balance for the entire setup.
