20″ Master C Stand features a unique innovation spring locking rig system. This enables the still or moving image-maker of any skill level to open and collapse the legs of the base in under two seconds.
A turtle base is an industry term where the riser section can be quickly removed from the base for easy transportation. In addition, the base can be used with a stand adapter for a low mounting position.
This 20″ double riser stand has two telescoping risers and one main section for a total of 172cm (957′). Add the height of the base and you arrive at your maximum height.
It features a unique base specially designed with three varied leg heights. Therefore, this enables the user to stack or nest the stand bases. As a result, the risers are just inches apart from one another.
This arrangement allows for close proximity mounting of lights and other grip equipment, or for easy storage. It comes with a zinc alloy casting on its base that’s five times stronger than aluminium.
As a result, the base sustains the weight of heavy stand bags and people standing on it. The aluminium casted locking collars are outfitted with a stainless-steel heli coil.
This protects the aluminium from being damaged by the knob’s stainless-steel bolt for strength and durability. The steel baby stud is welded directly to the top section instead of being pinned.
A sizeable brake shows to ensure a much better lock off. In addition, the stand leg is equipped with foot pad to protect both leg and ground.
The 20″ grip arm with hex stud is a 2- 1/2″ grip head mounted on the end of a 20″ piece of steel tubing 5/8″ (16mm) in diameter. It is finished with a faceted hex stud. The hex stud keeps lighting fixtures in position when they are placed on the end of the arm.
The surface of the tubing is painstakingly machined to create a rough texture. Therefore, this ensures a non-slip surface.
The 2-1/2″ grip head consists of a pair of rotating aluminium discs attached to a 5/8″ (16mm) receiver. The discs have four different sized V-shaped jaws to accept any accessory with a 5/8″, 1/2″, 3/8″, or 1/4″ mounting stud or tubing.
Additionally, the V-shaped jaws have teeth that grab whatever is mounted between the plates securely. The 2-1/2″ grip head features an oversized ergonomic t handle and dedicated roller bearings. This design is intended for maximum torque.
